An Early Spring Classic: Navy & White

As I’ve said many times before on this blog, when it comes to home decor, I love timeless and classic style–the same can definitely be said for my wardrobe as well.

We live in an age where you’ll some influencers wear an outfit once or twice and then you never see it again. That’s not my style. While I enjoy shopping and treating myself to a new things, there’s something about pulling out elevated classics pieces from my wardrobe every season.

The ultimate in timeless casual style, I love a good pair of white pants paired with a navy cardigan. You can dress this look up with heels or a fancy pair of flats. I paired my look with a pair of low wedge espadrilles from J. Crew. It’s the perfect look on a slightly chilly day when springtime is around the corner.

I’ve had the navy blue sweater set for a few seasons and get use out of it during most seasons– the sweater set is from Ann Taylor and the pants are Levis–both are about three years old.

Let’s talk about this handbag!! This handbag gets a lot of use during the spring and summer months and to me, this handbag is so “east coast”! I love the style and structure of the bag and while it’s not good for everyday (I find it to be a bit of a pain to unzip and rifle through), it’s perfect to take to lunch.  I bought the bag a few years ago at Kate Spade, and while one could consider something like this is considered a trendy piece, to me, this is a handbag that I consider classic preppy style.
