A Monochromatic Look for Autumn

For the past month I’ve been busy moving house and thankfully that whole process is winding down. I’ve spent the past month mostly in activewear unpacking and decorating the new place and it feels great to be dressing up again! I bought these faux leather shorts a few months ago in anticipation for autumn. I thought they would look great a variety of ways–specifically when styling a monochromatic look.

Where most people are wearing pants, here in Vegas, I am still very much wearing shorts. I’m always looking for ways to turn quintessentially east coast autumn outfits into something I can enjoy here in the southwest. Seasonal tones are so important when trying to achieve this.

I went for this monochromatic look to start the autumn season–black is such a staple color in my wardrobe and the shade definitely works for autumn too. How do you feel about monochromatic styles outfits?
